Sketches from Japan.

Shown to the right is a sketch of Mount Fuji, Japan. This s from my trip earlier this year, which solidified the idea of changing my degree to Architecture. The consideration the Japanese take in their design, especially architecture really inspired me. The approach to design is something I have never seen in the west. I find great interest in the different elements of design in different countries. A key feature in Japan is the exposed telephone wires which is a practical feature, which is easy to replace in times of earthquakes, but is also a key signifier of Japanese streets. How functionality becomes part of aesthetics really interests me, and I look forward to study this moving forwards in Architecture.
